Claude
Claude on the web connects by signing in. There is no key to copy, paste or store, and no Developer mode to switch on first — you approve the connection once, in the app, and Claude finishes by itself.
This page is for claude.ai in the browser. For the desktop app see Claude Desktop; for the terminal see Claude Code. Those two use a key.
Add the connector
-
In AOV.ai Cart Drawer, open Settings → MCP connectors and start a connection for Claude. Copy the connection URL it shows.
-
In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and add a custom connector.
-
Give it a name — AOV Cart Drawer is the obvious one — and paste the connection URL:
https://aov-cart-drawer.firebaseapp.com/oauth/mcp -
Continue, add it, then click Connect. Claude shows a one-time code.
Approve it in the app
- Type that code into Settings → MCP connectors and click Review request.
- Check what it says: the app asking, and the address it returns to. Both should be Claude.
- Choose the access level — Read only unless you want Claude to change your cart drawer.
- Click Approve.
The code is 8 characters, valid for 10 minutes and works once. If it expires, start the connection again in Claude for a fresh one.
Only approve a request you just started yourself. If the review names an app or a return address you do not recognise, click Deny.
Check it worked
The connection appears in the list once Claude finishes. When it shows Active, ask in Claude:
Is my cart drawer working right now?
You should see 12 or 13 tools for Read only, or 44 for Read and write.
Change what it can do
Access is fixed when you approve. To change it, make a new connection with the other level and revoke the old one. Start a new conversation afterwards so Claude re-reads the tool list.
Disconnect
Revoke in the app stops it on Claude's very next call. Removing the connector in Claude stops that client using it, but the connection stays on the list — revoke it too if you want it dead.
