ChatGPT
ChatGPT on the web connects by signing in. There is no key to copy, paste or store — you approve the connection once, in the app, and ChatGPT finishes the handshake by itself.
Turn on Developer mode first
Custom connectors live behind Developer mode, and ChatGPT does not offer to enable it for you.
In ChatGPT: Settings → Security → Developer mode. It is a one-time switch; once it is on you never touch it again.
Add the connector

In AOV.ai Free Gift, open Settings → MCP connectors and pick ChatGPT.

In ChatGPT, create a new connector.

Give it a name — AOV Free Gift is the obvious one — and paste the Connection URL from the app:

Click Create, then Connect. ChatGPT shows a one-time code such as
QLB5-FEAX.
Approve it in the app
- Type that code into Settings → MCP connectors and click Preview request.
- Check what it says: the app asking, and the address it returns to. Both should be ChatGPT.
- Choose the access level — Read only unless you want ChatGPT to change campaigns.
- Click Approve.
The code is valid for 10 minutes and works once. If it expires, start the connection again in ChatGPT for a fresh one.
Only approve a request you just started yourself. If the preview names an app or a return address you do not recognise, click Deny — a denied request cannot be revived.
Check it worked
The connection shows as Waiting until ChatGPT finishes; the list updates on its own, so there is no need to reload the page. Once it turns Active, ask in ChatGPT:

Developer-mode connectors are not always enabled in a fresh chat. If ChatGPT says it has no such tool, check that the connector is switched on for that conversation.
Change what it can do
Access is per connection and changed from the connections list — Enable write access, Enable deletion access, or back down with Make read-only. You do not have to reconnect or re-approve; start a new chat so ChatGPT re-reads the tool list.
Disconnect
Revoke in the app stops it on ChatGPT's very next call. Removing the connector in ChatGPT stops that client using it, but the connection stays on the list — revoke it too if you want it dead.
