How to Sell Multipack Including a Fixed Bundle
Worth knowing: the Product Fixed Bundle form still exposes a "Multipack selling" toggle under Advanced settings, with a guided setup that involves the AOV Free Gift Buy X Get Y + BOGO app. The cleaner, native-only approach (and what this page covers) is to layer a Volume Discount offer (Bundle's offer type #1) on top of the Product Fixed Bundle as the trigger product. Both work; the Volume Discount stack is simpler because it stays within AOV.ai Bundle Upsell.
What Is Multipack Selling?
Multipack selling means combining multiple units of the same fixed bundle into one larger pack at a tiered discount. Customers who buy a 5-pack get a better deal than 5 single packs, and a 10-pack is cheaper still per pack.
For example:
- 1 pack of Sock Bundle (2 red + 3 blue) = $30
- 5 packs = 10 red + 15 blue, with 10% off → $135
- 10 packs = 20 red + 30 blue, with 20% off → $240
The customer sees a tier table on the bundle's product page with the per-pack discount levels.
When to Use It
- You sell a fixed bundle that customers reorder regularly (consumables, refills, gifts in bulk)
- You want to lift AOV by rewarding bigger pack purchases
- The bundle is already created as a Product Fixed Bundle (so it has its own product page on the storefront)
The Recommended Approach: Volume Discount on Top of a Product Fixed Bundle
Since Volume Discount is now native to AOV.ai Bundle Upsell, the cleanest way to do multipack selling is to stack a Volume Discount offer on top of an existing Product Fixed Bundle. The Fixed Bundle defines what's in one pack. The Volume Discount defines the per-pack tier ladder.
Before You Start
You'll need:
- A Product Fixed Bundle already created and active on your storefront (this becomes the product the volume discount applies to). If you haven't created the bundle yet, see How to set up Product Fixed Bundle.
- The AOV.ai Bundle Upsell app installed
Step 1: Confirm the Product Fixed Bundle Is Active
Open AOV.ai Bundle Upsell → Offer, find your fixed bundle in the list, and confirm its status is Active. The bundle should appear as its own product on your storefront with its own product page.
Step 2: Create a Volume Discount Offer That Targets the Bundle
From the Offer list, click Create new offer, then click Create on the Volume discount card.
Pick a template (the Classic Volume Discount template works well for multipack), then click Select.
For the full Volume Discount setup walkthrough, see How to set up Volume Discount.
Step 3: Set the Trigger to Your Fixed Bundle
In Trigger conditions:
- Trigger condition: Any items from
- Scope: Specific product
- Pick your fixed bundle product from the picker
This scopes the volume discount to only the fixed bundle, so the tiers represent pack quantities, not individual component products.
Step 4: Configure the Multipack Tiers
In Discount tier, set up tiers based on pack quantity.
Using the sock bundle example from above:
| Tier | Product quantity | Discount value | Title | Subtitle |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | 1 | 0% | 1 pack | Standard |
| Tier 2 | 5 | 10% | 5 packs | Save 10% |
| Tier 3 | 10 | 20% | 10 packs | Best value |
- Discount type: Percentage (or Fixed amount if you prefer)
- Tier 1: set to quantity 1, discount 0%. This is the standard single-pack price baseline.
- Tier 2 / Tier 3: each tier is a multipack option with its own discount
Optionally, attach a free gift to the highest tier (a free pair of socks at the 10-pack level, say) to push customers toward the top tier.
Step 5: Configure the Rest of the Volume Discount
Walk through the remaining Volume Discount settings as normal:
- Discount combinations: usually leave off so the multipack tiers don't stack with other discounts
- Pricing option: toggle on Show prices per item to make per-pack savings visible
- Customer eligibility: All customers unless you're running a segment-specific deal
- Schedule: set when the multipack offer goes live
- Status: Active when you're ready to publish
Step 6: Save
Click Save. The Volume Discount tier table now appears on the fixed bundle's product page, and customers can pick a pack quantity directly from there.
What Customers Will See
On the fixed bundle's product page:
- The bundle product image and price (from the Product Fixed Bundle)
- A volume tier table below or beside the buy box, showing 1-pack / 5-pack / 10-pack with savings per tier
- A live total that updates as they pick a tier
- A single Add to cart button that adds the chosen pack quantity to cart

Troubleshooting
The volume tier table doesn't show on the bundle's product page. Check that both the Product Fixed Bundle and the Volume Discount offer are Active, and that the Volume Discount's trigger is set to the fixed bundle product specifically (not All products). Also confirm the theme app embed is enabled.
The discount applies to individual components instead of the whole pack. Volume Discount applies based on the trigger product. If the trigger is set to Specific collection or All products, it may catch component products separately. Set the trigger to the fixed bundle product itself as a Specific product.
Customers can stack the multipack discount with other discounts. Open the Volume Discount offer and turn off the Discount combinations toggles (Product / Order / Shipping discounts) to prevent stacking.
