This tutorial will walk you through how to configure Pop-up Widget in AOV Free Gift for your Shopify store.

This feature is available for all types of campaign.

What is Pop-up Widget?

The Pop-up Widget in the AOV Free gift app is a feature that displays a promotional pop-up on your store, product pages or cart pages. This popup highlights special deals, such as free gifts, discounts or volume-based offers, which customers can receive by meeting specific requirements.

Pop-ups are effective because they grab customers' attention when they are actively browsing or about to complete a purchase. With the Pop-up Widget, you can target customers at the right moment, encouraging them to take advantage of promotions and spend more.

Displaying a limited-time offer or exclusive discount in a Pop-up makes customers more likely to act quickly, adding more to their cart to avoid missing out on the special deal.

Easy Setup and Customization

The AOV Free Gift app’s Pop-up Widget is designed to be easy to configure, even for merchants without technical expertise. Merchants can adjust the colors, text, and call-to-action buttons, ensuring the popup matches their brand while delivering a clear and compelling message.

How to set up Pop-up Widget?

Step 1: Access Pop-up

Navigate Widget Display > Pop-up among the options. Choose Setup to start customize the Pop-up.

Step 2: Customize Pop-up Text

There are three customizable types of text appearing on the Pop Up, which are 'Add to Cart' button, 'Continue shopping' button and 'gift(s) selected' text.

Customize any of the text you want by typing in the box bellow.

Step 3: Pick up Widget theme

Widget theme

You can choose the theme for your Pop up so that you don't have to manually change its style. There are two available themes, which are regular and seasonal ones.

For regular themes, there are 8 options for you to choose. Select a theme that closely matches your store's aesthetic and campaign requirements.

For seasonal theme, we offer 4 options corresponding to 4 big events in the year, including Halloween, Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Christmas.

Step 4: Customize Widget Style

Set up Pop-up Background

Choose whether you want the gradient banner background or not by ticking in the box.

Choose a color that complements your store’s branding.

Set the Text Color

Select a color that ensures the text is easily readable against the background.

Choose an Icon

Select an icon that fits the theme of your promotion and adds visual interest to the Pop-up. Then, change its color as you want.

Customize 'Add to cart' button

Choose Button Color and Text Color on Button so that they will match your store identity.

Customize the Border of the Pop-up

Finally, choose the color for the border of the Pop-up as you want.

Additional Customization Tips

• Preview Changes: Use the preview feature to see how your customizations look in real-time.

• Consistency: Ensure the popup’s design is consistent with your overall store branding for a seamless customer experience.

• Clarity: Make sure the text and any calls to action are clear and stand out to guide your customers effectively.

Step 5: Finalizing the Popup Customization

Once you’re satisfied with the design, save your changes.

Test the Pop-up on your storefront to ensure it displays correctly and functions as expected.
