This guide will walk you through what Shipping Goal is, why you should use it, and how to set it up step by step.

What is Shipping Goal?

The Shipping Goal feature allows merchants to create campaigns that offer free shipping or discounted shipping rates when customers meet a specified order value. With Shipping Goal, you can set up automated incentives that push customers to add more to their carts to unlock free or discounted shipping.

Customers are more likely to add extra items to their cart when they see a clear incentive. By setting a minimum purchase requirement for free shipping, you encourage higher spending.

How to set up

Step 1: Access the Shipping Goal

Navigate Campaigns in the menu > click Create Campaign button > Select Shipping Goal campaign to start setting up.

Step 2: Configure General Settings

Enter a campaign name for the campaign - this is only for internal use and helps you identify the campaigns easily later on.

Hereby, the Discount code will be automatically generated. It is only editable once you upgrade higher plan.

Step 3: Set the Campaign trigger

Minimum purchase amount

Define the spending threshold required to unlock the shipping discount (e.g., $500).

Trigger condition

Choose whether the goal applies to all products or a specific collection.

Exclude shipping rates over a certain amount Optionally, you can set a limit for eligible shipping rates (e.g., exclude rates above $100).

Step 4: Define the Campaign offer

Discount settings

Discount type

Select Free Shipping or a Percentage-based discount that the offer will be applied. Choose the corresponding value (e.g., 10% off shipping) if it is Percentage-based discount.

Discount combinations

Decide if this offer can be combined with product or order discounts by ticking the corresponding box.

Step 5: (Optional) Configure Advanced settings

Here, you can:

  • Limit the number of times this discount can be used.

  • Restrict usage to one per customer.

Toggle the button on the right side of the option you want to choose to activate these features. If you are using free plan, you'll need to upgrade to experience them.

Step 6: (Optional) Set up the Schedule

If you want your promotion to run for a specific period of time, you can totally set the start and end date/ time. Notice that timezone is based on (GNT - 5:00) America/ New York.

Start date

Add the start date and time when your promotion will begin.

End date (Optional)

Add the end date and time when your promotion will stop.

Final step

After configuring all settings, review your campaign settings to ensure everything is correct.

Once satisfied, click Save to launch your Shipping Goal campaign.
