Translation

Who is this for? This feature is designed for Shopify merchants who run stores supporting multiple languages. If you cater to international customers and want to ensure your promotions are displayed in the correct language for each market, this guide will help you set up and manage the translation.

Why Use the Translation Feature?

Offering promotions in your customers' native language helps improve engagement, build trust, and create a seamless shopping experience. The translation feature allows you to manually translate content within your promotional campaigns and widget displays into multiple languages, ensuring that your storeโ€™s message is clear and consistent across all regions.

Step-by-Step Setup for the Translation Feature

Step 1: Access the Translation Tab

This is where youโ€™ll manage all the languages supported by your store and translate the text displayed in widgets and campaigns.

Step 2: Add a New Language

  1. Inside the Translation tab, click on the Add New Language button.

  2. A popup will appear listing all the Published Languages in your store. These are the languages you have activated in your Shopify settings.

Note: If you donโ€™t see the language you need, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Shopify Admin.

  2. Navigate to Settings > Languages.

  3. Publish the desired language for your store.

After adding the language, you will see it listed in the Translation tab for further customization.

Step 3: Manually Translate Widget and Campaign Content

Once your language is added, you can start manually translating the content for your widget and campaigns.

  • Widgets: These include popup action and tiered reward box text

  • Campaign Content: This includes all texts and messages related to your promotional campaigns, such as popup/congrats bar title & description, badge, ...

Step 4: Default Text and Handling Inactive Languages

  • Default Text: If any language fields remain untranslated, the app will automatically display the original default text. This ensures that no content will be left untranslated or missing.

  • Inactive or Unadded Languages: If a language is inactive or has not been added to the translation list, the app will also display the default text. This helps maintain consistency in content when the app cannot match the customer's preferred language.

Step 5: Managing Existing Translations

  • At any time, you can return to the Translation tab to edit, update, or add new translations for specific campaigns or widgets.

  • Ensure your translations are up to date, especially when launching new promotions or campaigns in multiple regions.

The translation feature in your app allows you to effortlessly manage promotions in multiple languages, ensuring a more personalized and engaging experience for your international customers. By following the steps above, you can easily set up translations for widgets and campaign content, helping you optimize your store for a global audience.
