How to configure your first BXGY campaign

Creating a Buy X Get Y campaign is a great way to incentivize purchases and boost sales. Follow these steps to set up your campaign effectively.

Step 1: Choose the Campaign on the Campaign Type Page

Navigate to the Campaign Type page within the app and select the Buy X Get Y campaign type.

Step 2: Set Up the Campaign Name

Give your campaign a name that clearly describes the promotion, making it easy to manage and identify later.

Step 3: Set Up the Customer Buys (X) Trigger

Input Trigger Quantity

Specify the number of items customers need to buy to trigger the promotion.

Select Trigger Items

Choose whether the trigger applies to specific products or specific collections.

Select Applicable Products

Based on your selection, choose the specific products or collections that will trigger the promotion.

Step 4: Set Up the Customer Gets (Y)

Choose the Gift

Select the gift you want to offer as part of the campaign.

Adjust Quantity

Specify the quantity of each gift that the customer will receive.

Step 5: Choose the Discount

Select Discount Type: Choose the type of discount to apply to the gift:

• Free

• Percentage

• Fixed Amount

Discount Combination: Decide whether the discount can be combined with other discounts from Shopify, such as:

• Product Discounts

• Order Discounts

• Shipping Discounts

Step 6: Customize the Appearance

Placement Details Notify that the ‘Buy X, Get Y’ offer is shown as a pop-up after clicking the Add to Cart button (more configuration will be updated soon)

Update Title and Description Customize the title and description of the popup to communicate the promotion details to customers.

Step 7: Schedule the Campaign (Optional)

Schedule Dates Set the start date and time, as well as the end date and time, for the campaign if you want it to run during a specific period.

Step 8: Advanced Settings (Optional)

Multiplying Formula: Enable this option to allow customers to multiply their gifts when they multiply the quantity trigger. This feature encourages customers to buy more and receive more rewards. For example:

• Buy 2, Get 1 Free

• Buy 4, Get 2 Free

• Buy 6, Get 3 Free, and so on."

Finalizing the Setup

After completing these steps, review your campaign settings to ensure everything is correct. Save your campaign, and it will be ready to activate on your storefront, providing your customers with a compelling reason to add more items to their carts and enjoy the rewards.
