Learn how to use the Thank you page upsell feature to boost customer engagement and increase sales.

What is Thank you page upsell?

Thank you page upsell feature allows you to present additional offers to customers on the offer confirmation (thank you) page. This will help to engage with customers post purchase and encourage them to take advantage of exclusive deals.

The thank you page is often underutilized. By presenting targeted upsell offers here, you can maximize every transaction and increase your Average Order Value (AOV).

Encourage customer engagement

Offering discounts or exclusive products keeps customers engaged with your brand next times and fosters loyalty.

Thank You Page Upsells feel natural and non-intrusive, blending into the customer’s post-purchase experience.

How to set up Thank you page upsell?

Step 1: Access Thank you page upsell feature

Navigate to the Offers section in the menu > Select Thank you page upsell to create a new offer.

Step 2: Define your Offer information

Offer name

Enter a name for your campaign so that you can easily identify it later on. You customers won't see this name on the storefront.

Step 3: Fill in Trigger conditions

In this section, you need to specify the conditions for displaying the offer to customers.

Any items from

Choose "Specific product(s)" or "Specific collection" to target particular items.

Applicable product(s)/ collection(s)

Click Browse and select applicable products or collections that will activate the upsell offer.

Step 4: Choose Offered products

Toggle the Offer coupon option if you want to include a discount code for customers' next order. Here, you will see a discount code automatically generated for you. If you want to customize it manually, please contact our team for support.

In case you want to choose products to promote, there are 3 available options for you:

  • AI recommendation: Automatically selects products by AI based on customer purchase behavior and trends.

  • Specific Product: Manually select individual items to include in the upsell offer.

  • Specific Collection: Target an entire collection of products for a broader reach.

Step 5: Configure Discount settings

This feature only applies for offered products, so if you choose to offer a coupon, it will be disabled.

Decide if you want to apply a discount to the offered products by enabling the button.

Then, choose the discount type between percentage or fixed amount.

Finally, set the discount value (e.g, 10%).

Step 6: Customize the Offer Widget

The Offer Widget section will allow you to design how the upsell appears.

Placement

Click go to themes and select where the the widget will display on the thank you page. In case you need any help for further customization, don't hesitate to reach out.

Content

  • Title: Create an engaging title like "You may also like" to capture your customer's attention.

Show countdown timer

You can also add urgency by enabling the countdown timer button.

  • Countdown title: Add an message to call for customer's attention about how much time left for the offer.

  • Offer will expire after check out in: Set a time limit (e.g., 15 minutes).

Preview the widget on desktop and mobile to ensure it looks good.

Step 7 (Optional): Advanced settings

Under "Advanced Settings," set:

  • The start date for the offer.

  • (Optional) End date if the promotion is time-sensitive.

Confirm the correct time zone for your store (e.g., America/New_York).

Final step: Activate and Save

Click Save to finalize your upsell.

Ensure the offer is active and properly embedded on your thank you page.

And that's it! By strategically offering complementary products or discounts, you can make the most of every transaction and build stronger customer relationships. Happy selling!
